Slack has launched new platform features that let developers build agentic AI agents inside Slack. Agents can securely access your team’s real-time conversations and data, giving them context to act (not just chat). Slack rolled out a Real-Time Search API and a Model Context Protocol server to enable this. The result: AI agents can act more intelligently, reduce app switching, and help teams move faster, all while maintaining enterprise security and privacy.
